GEELILAKKAUKSEN POISTAMINEN

MITEN GEELILAKKAUS POISTETAAN?

💙Geelilakkaus voidaan poistaa kahdella eri tavalla. 🥇Ensimmäinen on ammattilaisen suorittama koneellinen poisto. Toimenpide kestää noin 10 minuuttia. Turvallisuussyistä koneellista poistoa ei suositella harrastelijakäyttöön. 🥈Toinen vaihtoehto on geelilakkauksen kemiallinen poisto. Siihen voidaan käyttää asetonia sisältäviä lakkauksen poistoaineita tai muita akryyli- tai geelikynsilakkojen poistamiseen tarkoitettuja aineita.Kemiallinen poisto kestää noin 30 minuuttia kynnen pituudesta riippuen.

Taking care of your feet

Taking care of the feet.

First of all we should remember! WE fit the shoe to the foot, not the foot to the shoe. Professionals suggest having your feet measured for width as well as length. Or, if you want to get more creative, stand on a piece of paper and trace around the shape of your foot. Then place your shoe on top — if you can see any foot tracing lines overhanging the shoe then this shoe is too narrow or not the right shape for you. Another tip is going shoe shopping in the afternoon after any natural swelling has occurred.

Taking care of feet BeNailed

Then there is the question of heels. It’s said, that high-heeled shoes can lead to an increase in foot pain and the development of painful corns and calluses,  referring to a study of just under 100 women between the age of 40 and 66. However, the study also showed that wearing heels did not seem to lead to any statistically significant increases in deformities or joint disease on x-ray.

However, everybody has a different type of foot.  Whether looking for sports or dress shoes, you need to find what suits you. For example, you can choose a different heel which is more comfortable for the foot. You might have a larger surface area heel with platforms so you’re getting that height but you’re not getting [such an] angle.

Taking care of feet BeNailed

If finding the right shoes to support your feet is a struggle, there is always the option of orthotics. These are inserts fitted into the shoe that can help reduce or redistribute pressure in the foot and provide support for correct foot function.

What is becoming quite significant is that off-the-shelf, pre-fabricated orthoses are just as beneficial as custom-made orthoses. There was a study that analysed the effects of a mass market insole. Although it was a small sample, the team found that the use of the insole — which is designed to improve the function of the first metatarsophalangeal joint (the big joint of the big toe) — led to a probable increase in walking efficiency as well as comfort.

BUT! If you wear orthotics or arch supports these will not work properly if your gastrocnemius muscles are tight.  Professionals recommend regular calf stretching.

Taking care of feet BeNailed

As well as correct footwear, cleaning and keeping toenails trimmed are important aspects of foot care. Although feet should be cleaned daily, soaking them can destroy the natural oils in the skin and should be avoided. Furthermore, make sure you dry your feet well and pay particular attention to areas between the toes as this can potentially create athlete’s foot.

Foot care can become more difficult as people get older. Reaching down to cut toenails and clean and moisturise feet can be challenging, and this population is more likely to have underlying conditions, such as diabetes or arthritis. Furthermore, people often gain weight as they get older. Usually, family member can help with cutting toenails and, if that is not an option, many of the  local organisations offer toenail-cutting services for people over 50. Taking care of feet is important part of sustaining movability.

And SLIPPERS. Podiatrists are against wearing slippers. “They can become sloppy, are unsupportive, and individuals run the risk of tripping and falling over”.

Another issue for some older people is a reluctance to seek help if they have foot pain. “Older generations were copers, they just got on with it,”.

But, please, let’s stop it!  Foot pain should not be seen as an inevitable part of ageing.

Fall/ Winter 2018-2019 Nail Art Trends

Nail Art Trends 2018-2019

Bejeweled Nails and Fingers

Jeweled nails are nothing new in concept, but the newest iteration of the idea features jewels and crystals of different sizes and shapes being placed collaboratively to accent the nails. In some cases, larger stones are placed alone to create a notably different look worthy of being considered a fall 2018 nail art trend.

Bibhu Mohapatra showed jewels between the first knuckles and the fingernails of the models. It was an interesting look – the jewels used added a bit of “oomph” to the manicured look, but that doesn’t mean that the actual nail art was lacking! The models that wore Bibhu Mohapatra’s looks also had an intentional nearly diagonal swipe of polish with a hint of glitter in rich hues.

Creatures of Comfort showed off larger stones of different sizes and shapes placed individually on nails painted with a background of black. The effect was pretty and the contrast was interesting by itself and even repeated in different colors on the Mulberrymodels.

Just the Tips

Manicures that were really just about decorating the tips were rampant in different designs and even textures. Super long nails with a hole in the tips were on the Gareth Pugh runway.

Pink tips on otherwise naked nails were only the beginning, thanks to fall 2018 nail designs shown on the Roberta Einer model’s nails. Cushnie et Ochs decorated just the tips of the nails with glitter, and Huishan Zhang did the very definition of minimalist with a tiny amount of sparkles at the tip of glossy nails.

Eye-Catching Prints

One of the most talked about fall 2018 nail art designs of the various Fashion Weeks was the neon animal print nails Miss Pop created for Jeremy Scott. One of the “prints” that caught a lot of eyes was the net covered burgundy nails on the Tadashi Shoji runway.

Vivienne Westwood took the eye-catching printed nail trends of fall 2018 and created readable manicures. The different phrases were risqué in some cases but that was the point – done on softly squared tips.

Minimalist Manicure Designs

Similar to French manicures, a minimalist manicure is done with two colors or less and on a shorter nail like the rounded short tips that were very popular on the runways. Cushnie et Ochs opted for nude nails with glitter-speckled tips as the only polish present on softer square-tipped nails.

Tanya Taylor featured two-tone shoes that inspired Essie nail artist Julie Kandalec to create stunning minimalist manicures. Using rich, glossy colors she painted the nails, tipping them off with a miniscule cream-colored tip for a richly colored minimalist manicure. Not only were the richer colors of the upcoming fall season used, but also metallics like silver chrome were tipped with coral.

Accented Nails

Implementing a design on a single nail makes it stand out more, and this is one of the fall/ winter 2018-2019 nail trends for you to embrace. Antonio Marras showed glossy black nails with an accented first finger showing a design of red and gold swirls as an attractive and eye-catching accent.

Michelle Class showed off nude nails accented with multicolored Swarovski crystals on certain nails for Mulberry. For the models for Gypsy Sport, several of the nails were done in alternating colors with the additions of stripes and a harlequin pattern on the first and second nails.

Extravagant Nail Art Designs

Sofia Webster, and The Blonds took the title for most extravagant of the fall 2018 nail art trends. They were still wearable but beautifully embellished in a way that seemed to be created from the imagination of someone with brilliance in mind.

Brilliance in this case is two-fold with the designs being both very clever and glintingly shiny. The jewel-encrusted nails of the Sofia Webster models were intricately designed and meticulously curated to catch the light from every angle and embellish the nails from cuticle to end.

Several different designs came into play on The Blonds runway. Spikes and prints and more embellishments covered the nails, which were a considerable length to accommodate the fullness of the designs.

Manish Arora also featured an incredible design with koi in a Zen pond design on the nail. They could be worn but only to a certain extent. They are, however, beautiful in each of the different designs.

Half Moon Cuticle Manicures

Moschino, and Tibi both showed nail art designs for fall 2018 that featured a natural half moon detail at the cuticle of the nail. On the Tibi runway, the model’s nails were short and the half-moon of the cuticle with a lack of polish, while the rest of the nails were done in a pale pink with an orange red accent color on the ring finger.

Moschino’s nails were medium length, making the half moon design near the cuticle much easier to appreciate. Tom Ford also did the same style on nude nails with a glossy finish.

Nail art is an incredible inclusion of fashion on the wearer’s fingers, so take a minute to peruse the nail art trends for fall 2018 and grab a few ideas to grace your hands throughout the cool and cold weather seasons.

Fall/ Winter 2018-2019 Nail Shape Trends

#1. Short and Natural

Many of the fall 2018 nail polish and manicure trends were featured on nails that were short enough to be a practicality, another facet of wearable fashion that is often overlooked. The short nails did not lack artful conception on any runway with incredible manicures and stunning, memorable colors shown in many cases.

Marc Jacobs showed off his new line of nail polish colors on short nails. Designed and embellished options like the nails on the models for Creatures of Comforts and Sonia Rykielwere also featured on short nails.

#2. Practical Ovals

Previous seasons have shown nearly excessively and impractically long fingernails for a while in order to show off great designs and styles. Fortunately for those into fall 2018 nail trends, practical medium lengths are in with oval shaped smooth tips.

Moschino’s models sported manicures designed by Miss Pop with half moons at the base of the nail rather than decorating the end of the middle. It was an interesting take made even more interesting by the length of the nail, which accentuated the small half moons with the oval tips on medium-length nails.

Antonio Maras also showed that designs could be done on medium-length nails that are intricate and deep without losing any detail. Chromat also showed off designs that matched the details of the runway looks down to even the most minute point of interest on nails that were oval and smooth.

#3. Low Square Tips

Cushnie et Ochs featured their glitter manicure on softly squared tips for what was considered to be a more graphic look. Gypsy Sport also showed graphically designed black and white nail polish on short, square-filed nails. Even Han Wen’s glossy metallic and black manicures were done on squared nails. It is a classic shape with a good, clean look that is easy to appreciate.

#2. Pantone 17-1563 Cherry Tomato

#3. Pantone 16-4132 Little Boy Blue

Little Boy Blue is a soft, clean blue color reminiscent of a light touch and a clear day. This Pantone spring 2018 color suggests a breeziness that feels like spring as the color is observed, absorbing into the imagination. Little Boy Blue is certain to complement all skin tones beautifully.

#4. Pantone 18-1440 Chili Oil

Chili Oil has the best of the browns mixed with the best of reds for a rich, earthy color for spring 2018 that feels robust yet subdued simultaneously. Predicted for the New York spring 2018 fashion shows, it will be a delight to see this color utilized creatively.

#5. Pantone 14-3207 Pink Lavender

Designed to be soft and romantic, Pink Lavender is the Pantone spring 2018 color that straddles the fence. This light yet lush shade shows up in both the New York and London Pantone spring 2018 color trend predictions. It’s a delicate, smooth color that creates a light spring aesthetic right away.

#6. Pantone 15-1520 Blooming Dahlia

Blooming Dahlia seems like a peachy, alluring update to the current nude trend. This color will seamlessly update the beckoning subtleness of the current shades of nude that have been running rampant through fashion and beauty options. The color is so right that Blooming Dahlia also shows up in both the New York and London spring 2018 color trend reports.

#7. Pantone 16-5533 Arcadia

Arcadia is a cool, clean greener take on teal. The color is earthy in a springtime way that emphasizes newness in an interesting and posh way. It is a lighter color but there is a depth thanks to the greener than blue combination that creates the Arcadia color for spring 2018.

#8. Pantone 18-3838 Ultra Violet

Ultra Violet is a distinguishing shade chosen for the spring/ summer 2018 color trend reports for both New York and London. This entrancing shade of red has a feel that rides the line between modern and retro with just the right amount of brightness for spring.

#9. Pantone 18-1028 Emperador

Rich earth tones are typically reserved for fall, but the chocolatey svelteness of Emperador is undeniable. This is the richest among the Pantone spring 2018 color trend choices, but an invaluable addition of strength and contrast that will work beautifully well with all the other colors for spring 2018.

#10. Pantone 12-2103 Almost Mauve

Perhaps the most reminiscent of past fashion adventures, Almost Mauve is another shade included in the Pantone color trend choices for spring 2018 for both New York and London. The color is just soft enough to still provide a crisp look but not so sharp as to be peculiar. The shade is brilliantly feathery soft in appearance and will complement a full variety of spring 2018 colors as well.

#11. Pantone 17-3020 Spring Crocus

Spring Crocus is a bright and tenacious light shade of purple that is equal parts bright and smooth. Since there is another shade of purple in the chosen spring 2018 color trends, it would mean they both have to stand out. Spring Crocus is a completely unexpected shade that will have a lot of incredible application in the upcoming spring styles.

#12. Pantone 13-0550 Lime Punch

Described as both “sharp and pungent” by Pantone, Lime Punch shows up in both New York and London color trend projections. The color is clearly a vibrant shade of green with a good amount of yellow mixed in, but the inclusion of the yellow creates a more vigorous effect to the color.

#13. Pantone 18-4043 Palace Blue

Palace Blue is a color that can be accurately described as dreamy and even optimistic. This spring 2018 color is light, brightening up the range of blues that people are used to. Though not an expected shade for spring, Palace Blue makes a lot of sense with the concept of bright and cheery looking, perfectly acclimating into the palette.

#14. Pantone 17-1514 Ash Rose

Ash Rose is a dashing color full of earthy sophistication. The color, though not bright or overwhelming, is a stunningly natural looking, comforting shade of rose. This is a color that will likely be mirrored throughout accessories and products as well for a soft and sweet look.

#15. Pantone 14-0121 Nile Green

Nile Green is the soft color imagined that is apparent without superseding the other range of brightly or richly colored greens. Nile Green is light and wispy for a perfect spring feel that will evoke calm and current style.

#16. Pantone 18-1325 Spiced Apple

Spiced Apple is as rich and red as any fall color, but designed to be brilliantly strong during spring. The perfect mix of reds and browns creates the incredible color for spring 2018 that will stand out amongst any designs in any spring collection in just the right way.

#17. Pantone 17-1929 Rapture Rose

Rapture Rose is meant to be a romantic shade of rose that artfully blends charming allure and a coquettish soft color. The blend effortlessly evokes these concepts and will no doubt be used in other-worldly designs perfect for the color.
